WeddingWire 2009 Bride's Choice Award

WeddingWire, the nation’s leading wedding technology company, just announced that Weddings of Elegance has won the 2009 Bride’s Choice Awards™!

In its inaugural year, the Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes and honors vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. This year’s recipients represent the top three percent of WeddingWire’s vendor community, which includes over 100,000 wedding vendors from across the US.

Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through surveys and reviews. I am honored to receive such an award and would like to thank my past clients for speaking on my behalf to help me achieve the 2009 Bride’s Choice Award!

Sarah & Wesley - December 2008

Sarah and Wesley had the time of their lives at their winter red ceremony in the historical Old Red Courthouse. Sarah had a clear ideas about how they wanted their celebration to look and feel. We used shades of red accented by gold embellishments to pull together this stunning ceremony and reception. The centerpieces by Sahana Floral incorporated red cranberries with beautiful Circus roses, Black Magic roses and hot pink stock with Curly Willow branches - one word Gorgeous! They served medallions of peppered steak and chicken a la Florentina served by one of the best catering companies in town - Culinary Art Catering. The Bride and Groom has a Martini Bar complete with martini luge to chill the apple martinis for the guests. The Time Machine band had the guests on their feet when they weren't in the photo booth room taking pictures. I want to thank Stacey Pinkney at Simple Moments Photography for these fabulouse photos. This is one of the couples very close to my heart and I wish them the very best.

Lindsay & Cameron: July 2008

The beautiful Gaylord Texan Resort was the setting for Lindsay and Cameron's July wedding. This couple wanted an outdoor wedding but without the summer heat. This 78 degree temperature of the Gazebo and Yellow Rose Ballroom of the Gaylord Texan was just the answer. The flowers, done by Fete des Fluer, were breath taking. They did a fabulous job incorporating her ivory, gold and peach color scheme. The DJ and lighting was done by A Very Special Day (Richard McClure) and we used the University of Miami colors for uplighting during their first dance. Mini burgers and french fries were served as a light night snack after their lavish four course meal which included Pan Seared Petite Fillet Mignon with truffle sauce accompanied by grilled prawns with saffron glaze. The beauty and specter of the night was captured by Joe Rougraff at Capture the Moment Photography.

Father Daughter Dance Songs

One of the questions that I get from my brides is, "What song do you suggest for the father/daughter dance?" Remember this is your turn to thank your father for his support and love throughout the years. Here are a few songs that I suggest:

There Goes My Life - Kenny Chesney

I Loved Her First - Heartland

Butterfly Kisses - Bob Carlisle

Daddy's Girl - Rob Sovine

Isn't She Lovely - Stevie Wonder

Daughter of Mine - John McDermott

Sarah & Aldo : July 2008

La Cima Club was the perfect setting for this July wedding. Sarah and Aldo's guest watched as the couple took their vows in front of a cascade of candles and the skyline of Los Colinas in the background. The Bride and Groom congregated with love ones during their cocktail hour which featured a photo montage of the couple from childhood to present. The guests were then escorted to the Skyline room for a seated dinner Peppercorn Seared Petit Filet and Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast. After dancing the night away the couple stopped to kiss under the line of sparklers their guest were holding prior to their grand exit on a gondola. Check out the fabulous photos taken by John Christopher Photography. John also provided a photo booth for the guests which was one of the highlights of the night.

Megan and Will : March 2008

Megan and Will were a pleasure to work with. This couple went to Texas A&M as did Megan's parents. The weddings was held at the First Christian Church of Fort Worth and was absolutely beautiful. Weddings of Elegance did the pocket invites and program. I absolutely love Mike and Rejana Krause (Bludoor Studios) who got some great shots. The reception was a very lively one held at the Diamond Oaks Country Club in Ft. Worth. Their guests danced all night long.....literally. It was a lot of fun.
